After 10 months in Afghanistan Jared has come home. Here's the funny story that goes along with it. I assumed we were to pick him up in the parking lot of the designated place so I am waiting in the van looking around for soldiers getting off of a bus. Meanwhile inside the building of the parking lot we were in there is a "coming home" ceremony with all of the soldiers' families. After the ceremony all the families run and greet their soldier. Guess whose family isn't there? I get wife of the year for that one. I finally wonder what on earth is going on and go inside the building to see if anyone knows anything. Our run and hug was a little late but still just as special.

You miss the simplest things when you are apart like breakfast together in the morning. I love how it's pitch dark outside in Alaska at breakfast time. No good morning sunshine for us.

Finally someone to wrestle with the boys!
